- This card can be searched by "Single Purchase", "Temple of the Kings", "Ties of the Brethren", "Painful Escape", "Transmodify", "Summoner Monk", "Resonator Engine", "Soul Rope", "Vampire Dragon", "Dragunity Corsesca", "Rescue Ferret", "Underworld Egg Clutch" and "Shark Cruiser".
- You can use its effect to discard an "Atlantean" or "Mermail" monster and target an important monster like "Inzektor Hornet".
- If you have a "Fishborg Planter" in your graveyard, you can send a "Stoic of Prophecy" and/or return it on top of your deck, then use "Fishborg Planter" effect.
- Choose a hard to summon monster in your opponent Graveyard place it on the top of your opponent Deck to give him a dead draw.
- Run a copy of this card in Gishki decks that focus on summoning "Gishki Zielgigas". You can discard a Gishki monster for future plays with "Salvage", "Gishki Aquamirror", and/or "Gishki Beast" and you'll also be able to either disrupt your opponent's strategy (remove a card they want in the graveyard) or facilitate your own (return a Gishki monster to the top of your deck for Zielgigas' draw/spin effect).
