- Mirror Gate: The opponent's attacking monster is still considered to be "the attacking monster" after it switched control by the effect of "Mirror Gate".
- Example: Player A is attacking Player B's "Elemental Hero Neos" [sic] with his "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" while Player B controls a face-up "Skyscraper". Player B responds to "Blue-Eyes White Dragon"'s attack with "Mirror Gate". When "Mirror Gate" resolves, both monsters switch control and the battle is taken to the "calculate damage" portion of the Damage Step. Since "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" is still the attacking monster, the effect of "Skyscraper" will not be applied as "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" is not an "Elemental Hero" [sic] monster.[1][2]
OCG Rulings
- Discarding "Elemental HERO Captain Gold" to the Graveyard is a cost to activate its effect which adds "Skyscraper" to your hand.[3]

- The ATK increase of "Skyscraper" is a Continuous Effect and does not start a chain.
- If "Skyscraper" is on the field and you attack a Defense Position monster with an "Elemental Hero" [sic] that has ATK lower than the ATK of the Defense Position monster, the "Elemental Hero" [sic] gains +1000 ATK even though it was attacking a Defense Position monster.
- If your opponent's monster's ATK is increased during the Damage Step, like "Injection Fairy Lily" or "Covering Fire", your "Elemental Hero" [sic] will gain the +1000 ATK for "Skyscraper".
Mentions in Other Rulings
- Elemental HERO Captain Gold: If this monster is attacked while in face-down Defense Position, and "Skyscraper" is not in play, this monster will be destroyed by its effect after Damage Calculation.
- Fusion Devourer: This effect is constantly applied during the Damage Step. If "Skyscraper" is on the field and this card battles an "Elemental Hero" [sic] Fusion Monster, that Fusion Monster's ATK will still be 0 for Damage Calculation.
