OCG Rulings[]
- The activation of only the card "Des Counterblow" can be performed at any time, except during the Damage Step.[1]
- The effect "Destroy any monster that inflicts Battle Damage to a player's Life Points by attacking directly" makes a Chain Link. (It does not target.)[1]
- The effect "Destroy any monster that inflicts Battle Damage to a player's Life Points by attacking directly" always activates after damage calculation in which a monster inflicts battle damage to a player by a direct attack, and destroys that monster that inflicted the battle damage.[1]
- The card "Des Counterblow" cannot be activated in the same Chain Link as the effect "Destroy any monster that inflicts Battle Damage to a player's Life Points by attacking directly." (Unless "Des Counterblow" is already face-up in the Spell & Trap Zone, its effect cannot be activated.)[1]
Previously Official Rulings[]
These TCG rulings were issued by Upper Deck Entertainment and have since been deemed unofficial by Konami.[2] They were previously considered official and can still be correct, as long as they follow the official gameplay rules, or unless Konami has issued a ruling that says otherwise.
