- Even if a monster is banished from the hand or Deck, a Chaos Counter is placed on this card.[1]
- Removing Chaos Counters is a cost to activate the effect that Special Summons a banished monster.[1]
- The effect that Special Summons 1 banished monster targets it.[1]
- The effect that Special Summons 1 banished monster and the effect that adds a monster from the Deck to the hand starts a Chain.[1]
- If there are no Chaos Counters placed on this card, the effect to add a monster from the Deck to the hand cannot be activated.[1]
- If an "Embodiment of Apophis" treated as a monster, a monster treated as an Equip Card, or a Token Monster is banished, a Chaos Counter is not placed on Chaos Zone.[2]
- If a monster is banished during the Damage Step, a Chaos Counter is placed on "Chaos Zone". Also, if "Chaos Zone" is sent from the field to the Graveyard by an opponent's card effect during the Damage Step, its effect can be activated.[3]
- The effect of "Chaos Zone" can target an opponent's banished monster and Special Summon it to your side of the field.[4]
- Placing Chaos Counters on "Chaos Zone" does not start a Chain. Therefore, if multiple monsters are banished by different card effects in the same Chain, when the monster is banished, a Chaos Counter is placed on "Chaos Zone".[5]
