- The effect "If this card is Normal Summoned, destroy this card." is always activated when "Boar Soldier" is Normal Summoned face-up. (It is not activated if this card is Flip Summoned or Special Summoned.)[1]
- The effect "If your opponent controls 1 or more monsters, decrease the ATK of this card by 1000 points." is a Continuous Effect.[1]
- If your opponent controls 1 or more monsters in their Monster Zone, "Boar Soldier" loses 1000 ATK. (Even if your opponent controls 2 or more monsters in their Monster Zone, this card only loses 1000 ATK.)[1]
