- In episode 61, Sartorius uses this card during his Duel against Chazz Princeton. He activates this card to draw one card and reveal it. It was revealed to be "Arcana Force XII - The Hangman" which was shuffled into Sartorius' Deck. On the last turn of the Duel, Sartorius activates "Selection of Fate" to force Chazz to choose one card in Sartorius' hand. The card was then revealed to be "The Hangman". Because of that, "The Hangman" is immediately Special Summoned to Sartorius' side of the field due to the effect of "Selection of Fate". This causes Chazz to take 1000 damage due to this card's last effect. "The Hangman" then rotates upon being summoned. "The Hangman" lands in the reverse position. Sartorius then activates the Tails effect of "The Hangman" to destroy Chazz's "Armed Dragon LV10" and inflict damage to Chazz equal to the ATK of his destroyed monster, winning Sartorius the Duel.
- In episode 171, during Jaden Yuki's duel against Sartorius, Sartorius was forced to send this card from the top of his Deck to the Graveyard via the effect of "Sowing of the Fool".
