Changes: Card Appearances:The Claw of Hermos

In episode 153, Joey Wheeler was on the verge of losing against Mai Valentine, but he is then overcome by a vision which sends him to the Dominion of the Beasts. Joey then releases Hermos from his 10,000 year long slumber. This was the final dragon released. Joey then drew this card and realizes that this is what he needs to save Mai. In the next episode, Joey activates "Monster Reborn" to revive "The Fiend Megacyber". Joey then Normal Summons "Time Wizard" and this card. Joey then merges this card with "Time Wizard" in order to create "Time Magic Hammer". After all three chosen Duelists (Yami Yugi, Kaiba, and Joey) came together in Industrial Illusions, they each showed their respective Legendary Dragons. All three cards then begin to glow since the chosen Duelists have now united. They then hold their respective cards up into the air. In the following episode, the glow soon disappears and the three Duelists lower down their cards before Kaiba and Mokuba leave.

In episode 162, Joey uses this card during his Duel against Rex Raptor. He activates this card to merge the latter with "Red-Eyes Black Dragon" in order to create "Red-Eyes Black Dragon Sword".

In episode 164, this card glows within Joey's Deck after Yugi defeats an Orichalcos soldier with "The Eye of Timaeus". Joey takes this card out of his Deck and notices that it is glowing. He then wonders to himself if something happened to Yugi since this card was glowing as if it's notifying him of something.

In episode 167, Kaiba defeats Alister, but he is unable to stop the plane from crashing due to what "The Seal of Orichalcos" did. All three Legendary Dragons then came out of their owner's Decks as actual monsters. They then gathered around the plane and brought it down to the ground safely.

In episode 171, Joey uses this card during his duel against Valon. He activates this card to merge the latter with "Rocket Warrior" in order to create "Rocket Hermos Cannon". In the next episode, Joey activates "Take One Chance" to take this card out of the Graveyard and activate it immediately, allowing Joey to merge this card with "Big Bang Blow" (which he summoned from Valon's Graveyard via "Graverobber") in order to create "Big Bang Dragon Blow".

In episode 173, Joey uses this card during his Duel against Mai. He activates this card to merge it with "Red-Eyes Black Dragon" in order to create "Red-Eyes Black Dragon Sword".. After Mai Valentine regretfully defeated Joey, this card fell out of Joey's hands. Mai, realizing that what she did was wrong, takes this card with her (probably as a way to have Joey with her while she attempted to save him by stopping Dartz) before traveling to Paradius HQ to defeat Dartz.

In episode 174, Hermos was given to Yami Yugi by Rafael after he defeated Mai. Yami Yugi assumed Rafael defeated Joey and Mai given how he gave him this card, but Rafael states that Mai defeated Joey while he defeated Mai. This card then appears in a flashback that is explained by Rafael. When Mai tries to go defeat Dartz, Rafael blocked her off and declared she's of no more use to Dartz. Mai Duels Rafael so she can get to Dartz, but she is defeated and "The Seal of Orichalcos" takes away her soul. As she falls, she apologizes to Joey for failing him. After she falls, this card is shown in her hand. After learning what happened to Joey and Mai, Yami Yugi declared that this madness must be stopped now. He even asks Rafael if he feels any pain for the loss of his allies, but Rafael claims he doesn't feel any. Yami Yugi inserts this card into his Deck and accepts Rafael's challenge to a Duel.

In episode 176, Yami Yugi uses this card during his Duel against Rafael. He activates this card to merge this card with "Queen's Knight" in order to create "Goddess Bow".

In episode 181, Yami Yugi uses this card during his duel against Dartz. He activates "Legend of Heart" to banish this card, "The Eye of Timaeus" and "Fang of Critias" in order to Special Summon "Legendary Knight Hermos", "Legendary Knight Timaeus" and "Legendary Knight Critias".

In episode 182, Yugi Muto gives this card back to Joey before the Chosen Duelists enter the portal that would lead them to stopping a tsunami and Dartz. Later Joey uses this card in the battle against The Great Leviathan. After all three Chosen Duelists summoned their Legendary Dragons, Yami Yugi used "Legend of Heart" to transform the Dragons into the Legendary Knights.

In episode 184, Yami Yugi was able to defeat Dartz and The Great Leviathan. Once that was done, Hermos returned home with his friends. This card along with the other Legendary Dragon cards dissolve away when this happens as the Legendary Knights no longer need to assist the chosen Duelists or their comrades with the Orichalcos and the Great Leviathan defeated for good.
- This card also appears in a flashback Mai has when she remembers "The Seal of Orichalcos" taking Joey's soul away and Joey dropping this card from his hand after his soul was taken.
