- In episode 11, Joey Wheeler shows this card after finding Tristan Taylor's cards. After Joey thinks these cards are forgotten by somebody until Tristan yelled at him as those are his cards, Joey notices "Lava Battleguard" looks familiar and takes out this card, noticing both cards are similar to each other. Later Joey uses this card during his Duel against Rex Raptor. He Normal Summons this card in Attack Position after "Flame Swordsman" attacks and destroys "Uraby". This card then gained a Field Power Bonus. On Joey's next turn, this card and "Lava Battleguard" (who also gained a Field Power Bonus) both gained 500 ATK due to the effects of each other's presence. "Serpent Night Dragon" then attacks this card as Rex was unaware of the effects of this card and "Lava Battleguard". This card then destroys "Serpent Night Dragon", making the effects of both cards more apparent to Rex. In the next episode, "Red-Eyes Black Dragon" (whose ATK is 3000 due to "Dragon Nails") attacks and destroys both this card and "Lava Battleguard".
- In episode 16, Joey Wheeler used this card during his Duel against Seto Kaiba. He Normal Summons this card in Attack Position. Kaiba's "Rabid Horseman" then attacks and destroys this card.
- This card can also be seen in Kaiba's briefcase when he takes out a Duel Disk from his briefcase to toss to Joey.
- In episode 26, this card can be seen in Seto Kaiba's briefcase when he takes a Duel Disk from his briefcase for his Duel against Maximillion Pegasus.
- In episode 218, Tristan Taylor summons this card and "Lava Battleguard" to use to attack in conjunction with Joey Wheeler's "Flame Swordsman" and "Gearfried the Iron Knight" against the henchmen of Zorc Necrophades. After a while, Yugi Muto says there is no time to fight as they must find Pharaoh Atem. With all their concentration, Yugi, Tristan, Joey and Téa Gardner escape the henchmen and head towards where the Pharaoh is.

- In episode 1, The Sledgehammer plays this card in his Action Duel against Yuya Sakaki. This card is Special Summoned along with "Lava Battleguard" via "Feast of the Wild LV5", with their effects negated. The Sledgehammer then Tributes this card and "Lava Battleguard" to Tribute Summon "Battleguard King".
