  • This card was first shown in the Opening Theme BELIEVE IN NEXUS; covered in a blue glow, until after it's debut.
  • In the Japanese anime, while Summoning "Shooting Star Dragon", Yusei chants "Clustering crystal dreams open the door to a new evolution! Become the path its light shines upon! Accel Synchro! Be Born, Shooting Star Dragon!"
  • This card first appeared in Episode 107 in Monster form, in stone tablet form.
    • It is of note that the stone tablet wasn't written in any "real" language and that the Attribute symbol didn't fit with any of the actual 7 Attributes. Instead it has the Japanese and Chinese Kanji for king indicating that being undeclared in it's card form it just showing it's from a higher power.
  • This card was Accel Synchro Summoned in Episode 109 in Yusei's duel against Primo and appeared as an actual card. It was used in response to "Meklord Emperor Wisel"'s Synchro absorbing effect. As its original target left the field, Wisel Infinity's effect is negated. Primo then tried to get rid of it by using Speed World 2's effect (he removed 10 Speed Counters to destroy one card on the field), but Yusei used this card's effect to remove it from the field and protect itself while at the same time forbidding Meklord Emperor Wisel from attacking this turn. On Yusei's turn, he used this card's other effect so he would reveal the top 5 cards of his deck and for every tuner drawn from this effect, Shooting Star Dragon can attack that many times. Since all of them were Tuners, this card got 5 attacks (much to Primo's shock since Yusei achieved at such an impossible task). Yusei was then able to use those attacks to help him win the duel. (Using the first two to waste both Skiel Carrier 5's effect and Wisel Guard 3's effect. The remaining attacks were used to destroy Wisel Attack 3, Wisel Guard 3, and Skiel Carrier 5)
  • In episode 149, it is revealed that while Z-one was in the form of Yusei, he had used this card. He demonstrated to the people of New Domino City that removing their negative emotions can help save the future and stop the Meklords. Unfortunately he was too late as the negativity from people's emotions caused the Ener-D reactor to overload and create many explosions which killed many people in the process. Believing he couldn't save anyone like Yusei did, he crumpled up the Shooting Star Dragon card in anger.
  • The attack name of this card is Stardust Mirage in the Japanese anime. The attack name in the English dub is Falling Star Slam.
