- In Rank 13, Thunder Spark plays this card against Yuma Tsukumo. He overlays "Otonari Thunder", "Mahunder", "Sishunder", "Brohunder" and "Pahunder" to Xyz Summon it. In the next Rank, he detaches three Overlay Units to destroy Yuma's Set monster. This card can then attacks directly. Spark later uses "Spirit Converter" to Tribute "Thunder Mountain" and "Rolling Thunder", allowing him to re-attach an Overlay Unit to this card. Yuma attacks this card with "Number 39: Utopia", but Spark uses "Dragon Booster" to increase this card's ATK by 500. Yuma uses "Negate Attack to negate his own attack. Spark re-attaches another Overlay Unit by Tributing two "Thunder Seahorse" with "Spirit Converter". Next turn, he does so again by Tributing "Electrode Beast Anion" and "Electrode Beast Cation". In the next Rank, Yuma attempts to destroy this card with the effect of "Number 50: Blackship of Corn", but Spark uses "Let Me Off Easy" to negate the effect by paying 1000 Life Points. Spark uses the other effect of this card to detach all five Overlay Units to destroy all cards Yuma controls. Yuma activates "Ray of Hope" to prevent the destruction of "Utopia" and "Ghost of a Grudge" to reduce the ATK of this card to 0 as Spark as eight or more monsters in his Graveyard. This card is attacked and destroyed by "Blackship of Corn" next turn.
- In Rank 31, this card appears in a flashback.
- In Rank 53, Astral plays this card against Yuma. During Yuma's turn, Astral Special Summons this card from his Extra Deck via "Rank Gazer", whose effect also attaches to this card, as Overlay Units, Astral's Xyz Monsters that had left the field. Yuma then has his "Number S39: Utopia the Lightning" attack this card; Astral activates "Spirit Xyz Spark" to double this card's ATK in response to "Utopia the Lightning's" own ATK-doubling effect, allowing Astral to survive the attack while this card is destroyed.
- This card's attack name is "Thunder Spark Bolt" in both the Japanese and English versions.
