In episode 1, Yami Yugi uses this card during his Duel against Seto Kaiba. He Normal Summons this card in Attack Position. This card then attacks and destroys Kaiba's "Saggi the Dark Clown" (whose ATK is 1800 due to Kaiba's "Negative Energy Generator"). Kaiba's "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" then attacks and destroys this card.

In episode 5, Yami Yugi uses this card during his Duel against Weevil Underwood. He Normal Summons this card in Attack Position. This card then attacks Weevil's "Cocoon of Evolution", but this card's attack fails as the DEF of "Cocoon of Evolution" is too high from the Field Power Bonus. Yami Yugi's "Curse of Dragon" (equipped with Yami Yugi's "Burning Land") later destroys the forest area which allows this card to successfully attack again and destroy "Cocoon of Evolution". Weevil's "Great Moth" then attacks this card and Yami Yugi's set "Beaver Warrior". However, Yami Yugi activates "Polymerization" to fuse this card with "Curse of Dragon" in order to Fusion Summon "Gaia the Dragon Champion" while "Great Moth" destroys "Beaver Warrior".

In episode 15, Yami Yugi uses this card during his Duel against PaniK. He Normal Summons this card in Attack Position. Yami Yugi then activates "Polymerization" to fuse this card with his "Curse of Dragon" together in order to Fusion Summon "Gaia the Dragon Champion".

In episode 23, Yami Yugi uses this card during his Duel against Seto Kaiba. He Normal Summons this card in Attack Position. This card then attacks and destroys Kaiba's "Saggi the Dark Clown", but Kaiba activates "Crush Card" to destroy this card and render every Monster Card that has at least 1500 ATK useless in Yami Yugi's hand and Deck.

In episode 29, Yami Yugi uses this card during his Duel against Mai Valentine. He Normal Summons this card in Attack Position. This card then attacks Mai's "Harpie Lady", but Mai activates "Mirror Wall" to negate this card's attack and halve this card's ATK. "Harpie Lady" (whose ATK is 1800 due to Mai's "Cyber Shield") then attacks and destroys this card. In the next episode, Yami Yugi activates "Monster Reborn" to Special Summon this card from the Graveyard. On the Duel's final turn, Yami Yugi activates "Black Luster Ritual" to Tribute this card and Yami Yugi's "Kuriboh" in order to Ritual Summon "Black Luster Soldier".

In episode 33, Yami Yugi uses this card during his Duel against Joey Wheeler. He Normal Summons this card in Attack Position. This card then attacks and destroys Joey's "Giltia the Dark Knight". Yami Yugi later activates "Polymerization" to fuse this card with his "Curse of Dragon" in order to Fusion Summon "Gaia the Dragon Champion".
- In the same episode, this card also appears when Yami Yugi explains to Joey that Duel Monsters is about the balance between Monster, Spell and Trap Cards.

In episode 35, this card appears in Yugi Muto's thoughts when he notes it will take all the wisdom his grandfather taught him and all the power in his cards to defeat Maximillion Pegasus.

In episode 40, this card is shown within a stone slab while Yugi and Shadi are wandering through Yami Yugi's mind within the Millennium Puzzle.

In episode 45, Yami Yugi uses this card while in a virtual reality game hijacked by the Big Five. During the battle against the Big Five's "Mythic Dragon", he activates "Black Luster Ritual" to Tribute this card and his "Curse of Dragon" in order to Ritual Summon "Black Luster Soldier".

In episode 50, Yugi Muto uses this card during his Duel against Bandit Keith possessed by Marik Ishtar. He Normal Summons this card in Attack Position. Yugi then activates "Polymerization" to fuse this card with his "Curse of Dragon" in order to Fusion Summon "Gaia the Dragon Champion".

In episode 99, this card appears when Yami Yugi is building his Deck for his Duel against Gansley.

In episode 106, this card can be seen when Duke Devlin, Tristan Taylor and Serenity Wheeler are building their Decks for their Duel against Nezbitt.

In episode 108, this card can be seen when Seto Kaiba is building his Deck for his Duel against Leichter.

In episode 131, this card is seen in a series of flashbacks Seto Kaiba has when he notes to himself that he always feels excited whenever he Duels against Yami Yugi.
- In episode 135, this card is seen in a series of flashbacks Yami Yugi has when he notes to himself that his rivalry with Kaiba allowed him to fight harder and reach new heights.

In episode 159, this card is shown when Weevil and Rex Raptor are taken to a vault within Paradius' headquarters that contains copies of every card in existence (sans the Legendary Dragons and the Egyptian Gods).

In episode 161, Yami Yugi uses this card during his Duel against Weevil Underwood. He activates "Polymerization" to fuse this card with his "Curse of Dragon" in order to Fusion Summon "Gaia the Dragon Champion".

In episode 223, this card appears in a flashback Téa Gardner has as she remembers Yugi's and Atem's various Duels and in comparison to Yami Yugi's "Swift Gaia the Fierce Knight".

In episode 23, this card, "Buster Blader" and "Leghul" were used by an opponent that Belowski faced in a flashback (which occurs in the Japanese version yet was cut from the English dub).

In chapter 11, during his duel against Ms. Guide, Shoma Yusa sends a copy of this card from his deck to the Graveyard for the effect of "Beginning of Heaven and Earth".

In North American WCQ 2014 Special: Astral vs. Yugi, Yugi discards this card via "Card Destruction".
In Match of the Millenium: Yugi vs. Pegasus, Yugi adds this card from his Deck to his hand via "Summoner's Art". He then uses "Knight of Legend" Skill to Normal Summon this card without Tributing. This card attacks Pegasus's "Toon Gemini Elf"; Pegasus activates "Security Orb" to switch this card to Defense Position. On his next turn, Yugi Tributes this card and "Celtic Guardian" to Tribute Summon "Dark Magician".
