Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS[]

  • In episode 62, The Shepherd uses this card during his Speed Duel against Soulburner. He Normal Summons this card, then equips it with "Mirror Coat Unit". On Soulburner's turn, "Mirror Coat Unit" leaves the field, so Shepherd returns this card to his hand and adds a second copy of this card from his Deck to his hand. On his next turn, Shepherd activates "3D Bio Scanner", revealing three copies of this card in his hand to Special Summon "Despair from the Dark" from his Deck. Shepherd then Normal Summons one copy of this card, allowing the other two copies to Special Summon themselves via their effects. Shepherd uses the Normal Summoned copy's other effect to place "Despair from the Dark" into his Spell & Trap Zone, then treat all copies of this card as effective copies of "Despair from the Dark" (in terms of ATK, DEF, Type, Attribute, Level and name). In the following episode, the first copy of this card attacks and destroys Soulburner's "Salamangreat Heatleo". The other two copies attack Soulburner directly, but before the second direct attack lands, Soulburner uses the effect of "Salamangreat Parro" to Special Summon itself from his hand with "Heatleo's" original ATK and force a replay. "Parro" is destroyed but Soulburner survives. On Soulburner's next turn, the effect of "Rising Fire", upon leaving the field, allows Soulburner to banish all three copies of this card and inflict damage to Shepherd equal to this card's original ATK. All three copies were still treated as "Despair from the Dark" at the time, so Shepherd takes 2800 damage.
  • In episode 78, The Shepherd uses this card during his Master Duel against Varis. He Normal Summons this card, then Special Summons a second copy from his hand via its own effect before linking both monsters to Link Summon "Battledrone Warrant".
  • In episode 106, The Shepherd uses this card during his Tag-Team Speed Duel with Ghost Gal against Roboppi. He Normal Summons this card, then Special Summons a second copy from his hand via its own effect before linking both monsters to Link Summon "Battledrone Warrant".
