In episode 107, Jesse Anderson uses this card during his Duel against Jaden Yuki. He summons this card in Attack Position. "Crystal Beast Topaz Tiger" then attacks "Neo-Spacian Grand Mole", but Jaden activates the latter's effect to return both battling monsters to their owners' hands. Jesse then uses this card to attack directly. Later "Neo-Spacian Dark Panther" (whose ATK was 1800 due to it being equipped with "Neos Energy") attacks and destroys this card, but Jesse uses the second effect of "Ancient City - Rainbow Ruins" to halve the Battle Damage he takes. Jesse then activates this card's last effect to place it in his Spell & Trap Card Zone as a Continuous Spell Card. After Jesse Special Summons "Crystal Beast Ruby Carbuncle" through its first effect, he activates the second effect of "Ruby Carbuncle" to Special Summon this card, "Crystal Beast Cobalt Eagle", and "Crystal Beast Amethyst Cat" from his Spell & Trap Card Zone. "Crystal Beast Sapphire Pegasus" then attacks "Neo-Spacian Dark Panther" (whose ATK was 1800 due to it being equipped with "Neos Energy"), causing both monsters to be destroyed in a Double KO. Jesse then activates the last effect of "Sapphire Pegasus" to place it in his Spell & Trap Card Zone as a Continuous Spell Card. "Amethyst Cat" then attacks directly via its own effect at the cost of halving the Battle Damage Jaden takes. "Cobalt Eagle" and this card then attack and destroy "Neo-Spacian Air Hummingbird" and "Neo-Spacian Glow Moss" respectively. On the last turn of the Duel, "Elemental HERO Air Neos" (whose ATK was 3700 due to its own effect) attacks this card, but Jesse claims that he is now going to summon "Rainbow Dragon", however Jesse then reveals that he was bluffing. "Air Neos" then destroys this card, winning Jaden the duel. After the Duel, Jesse reveals that "Rainbow Dragon" wasn't in his Deck nor was it created yet which was why he couldn't summon it during the last turn.
- This card can also be seen at the end of the episode when Jaden and Jesse reveal to each other various strategies that they didn't use during the opening exhibition Duel.

In episode 115, Jesse uses this card during his duel against Trapper. He summons this card in Attack Position. This card then attacks "Lure Phantom", but Trapper activates "Capture Snare" to negate the attack and place this card in his Spell & Trap Card Zone as well as place one Prey Counter on this card. In the next episode, Jesse activates "Take Flight" to return this card, "Topaz Tiger", "Crystal Beast Amethyst Cat", "Crystal Beast Emerald Tortoise", and "Crystal Beast Ruby Carbuncle" to his hand. Jesse then activates "GEM Burst" to place all Crystal Beasts in his hand into his Spell & Trap Card Zone as Continuous Spell Cards and inflict 500 damage to Trapper for each Crystal Beast placed into Jesse's Spell & Trap Card Zone. Since five Crystal Beasts were placed into Jesse's Spell & Trap Card Zone this way, Trapper takes 2500 damage and this wins Jesse the duel.
- In the second above-mentioned episode, this card is shown in a flashback Jesse has when he remembers obtaining the Crystal Beasts from Maximillion Pegasus. Pegasus claims to Jesse that the Crystal Beasts chose him to be their wielder as he could connect his heart to Duel Monster Spirits.

In episode 124, Jesse uses this card during his duel against the Emotionless Mask. After Jesse summons this card, he uses this card to attack directly. In the next episode, the effect of "Silent Pain" activates during Jesse's next Standby Phase, destroying this card and inflicting 1000 damage to Jesse. Jesse then activates this card's last effect to place it in his Spell & Trap Card Zone as a Continuous Spell Card. After Jesse Special Summons "Ruby Carbuncle" from the Spell & Trap Card Zone through its own effect, he activates the second effect of "Ruby Carbuncle" to Special Summon all Crystal Beasts in his Spell & Trap Card Zone. Emotionless Mask then activates "Silent Space" from his hand to destroy "Ruby Carbuncle", but Jesse activates the third effect of "Ancient City - Rainbow Ruins" to negate "Silent Space" and destroy it by sending "Crystal Beast Topaz Tiger" from his Spell & Trap Card Zone to the Graveyard. This card and "Crystal Beast Sapphire Pegasus" are then Special Summoned from the Spell & Trap Card Zone. This card and "Crystal Beast Sapphire Pegasus" then attack directly, winning Jesse the duel.

In episode 128, Jesse uses this card during his duel against Zane Truesdale. He places this card in his Spell & Trap Card Zone as a Continuous Spell Card via the effect of "Crystal Beast Sapphire Pegasus". After Jesse Special Summons "Ruby Carbuncle" through its first effect, he activates the second effect of "Ruby Carbuncle" to Special Summon this card, "Crystal Beast Amethyst Cat", and "Crystal Beast Emerald Tortoise" from the Spell & Trap Card Zone. Later "Cyber End Dragon" (whose ATK was 5600 due to it being powered up by the effect of "Power Load"), but Jesse activates "Amber Crystal Circle" to increase this card's ATK by the ATK of every other Crystal Beast on his side of the field. This would have caused both battling monsters to be destroyed in a Double KO, however the attack disrupted the connection between the two dimensions and ended the duel with no result. However by doing this, the wormhole between the two dimensions becomes wide enough for the scientists to send "Rainbow Dragon" to where Duel Academy is via a missile.

In episode 130, Jesse uses this card during his Tag Duel with Jaden against Marcel Bonaparte while the latter was possessed by Yubel. After Jesse Normal Summons this card, he uses this card to attack "Phantom of Chaos", but Marcel activates "Chaos Form" and equips it to "Phantom of Chaos". Marcel then activates the effect of "Chaos Form" to target the "Raviel, Lord of Phantasms" in his Graveyard and make the ATK and DEF of "Phantom of Chaos" the same as "Raviel". Jesse then activates "Crystal Flash" to place "Crystal Beast Cobalt Eagle" in his Spell & Trap Card Zone as a Continuous Spell Card and prevent this card's destruction as well as reduce the Battle Damage he would take to 0. The effect of "Crystal Tree" then activates, placing a Crystal Counter on itself. On Jesse's next turn, he switches this card to Defense Position. On the last turn of the Duel, Yubel regains her physical form and takes over in Marcel's place. She then activates the second effect of "Chaos Phantasm Armityle" in order to inflict 10000 Battle Damage to "Elemental HERO Chaos Neos", but Jesse activates "Prism Wall" to redirect the effect to "Rainbow Dragon". Jesse then activates the first effect of "Rainbow Dragon" to send this card, "Crystal Beast Topaz Tiger", "Crystal Beast Emerald Tortoise", "Cobalt Eagle", "Crystal Beast Sapphire Pegasus", and "Crystal Beast Amethyst Cat" to the Graveyard and increase the ATK of "Rainbow Dragon" by 1000 for each Crystal Beast sent to the Graveyard to this way. With six sent this way, "Rainbow Dragon" gains 6000 ATK, allowing it to survive the effect of "Armityle". The last effect of "Prism Wall" then activates, inflicting damage to Yubel and Jesse equal to the new ATK of "Rainbow Dragon" and defeating both of them.

In episode 172, Jesse used this card during his duel against Jaden while the latter was thinking that Jesse was Trueman (This was due to the darkness from "Arcana Force 0 - The Fool" infecting Jaden's "Polymerization" card). He activates the effect of "Crystal Spring" to place this card, "Crystal Beast Emerald Tortoise", and "Crystal Beast Sapphire Pegasus" on top of his Deck in the order he chooses. Later Jesse activates "Mine Blast" to send this card from the top of his Deck to the Graveyard.

In episode 175, Jesse uses this card during his Triangle Duel against Jaden and Yusuke Fujiwara. He places in his Spell & Trap Card Zone as a Continuous Spell Card via the effect of "Sapphire Pegasus". In the next episode, Jesse activates the second effect of "Rainbow Dragon" to return all cards on the field to their owners' Decks.

In the dub, "Crystal Beast Amber Mammoth" has a voice imitative of Arnold Schwarzenegger and quotes phrases from roles played by Schwartzenegger including "I'll be back" and "Hasta la vista baby".
