Branded

"Branded" (烙 (らく) 印 (いん) Rakuin) is an archetype introduced in Lightning Overdrive. This archetype is related by lore to "Fallen of Albaz" and monsters that specifically support it, with some members also directly supporting the "Despia" and "Bystial" archetypes.

Playing Style[]

Branded features a series of cards utilized to fusion summon; often using monsters from the player's deck via cards like Branded Fusion or from either field, via Fallen of Albaz or Super Polymerization. Branded spell and traps cards are often sent from the deck to the graveyard as cost, where they can then be set directly to the spell and trap zone from the player's GY. With plenty of generic and archetypal searchers and support, Branded has a very consistent playstyle and powerful non-target, non-destruction removal.
