"Allure Queen" (魅惑の女王 (アリュール・クィーン) Aryūru Kwīn) is an archetype of 3 female DARK Spellcaster "LV" monsters released in the TCG and OCG versions of Cyberdark Impact. They can equip opponent's monsters to themselves if Special Summoned properly. This archetype is solely supported by "Queen's Bodyguard".

Queen used this archetype in the Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS anime, along with supports that bypass the archetype notorious leveling restriction and taking advantage of their monster stealing ability.

Design[]

The Allure Queen monsters take form of an enchantress who grows more in power and charm each time she levels up into a stronger form, which is also reflected in her clothing becoming more revealing (though this process is reversed between LV7 and Golden Allure Queen), her appearance becoming more mature, and her ability to take control of opponent's monster becoming stronger. Their ultimate form Golden Allure Queen lacks the "charm ability" of the lower LV forms, however, and instead focuses more on her offensive sorcery.

The Queen's Bodyguard monster, like their namesake, are the soldiers that protect the Allure Queen monsters.

Playing style[]

This archetype differs from normal "LV" monster archetypes in that the effects of each member cannot be activated if they are Summoned by any means other than the previous monster in the series, making "Level Up!" useless. With this in mind, they are very hard to build around and have little support besides "Queen's Bodyguard" and Spellcaster-themed support cards such as "Secret Village of the Spellcasters". However, given that a "pure" "Allure Queen" Deck would work best with three copies of all levels of "Allure Queen", "Solidarity" is an option for this type of Deck.

The "Allure Queen" theme does see some minor support with Vylon and Dragunity cards; however these builds tend to ignore "Allure Queen" completely for better theme choices.

Some Synchro options are also available for this type of Deck, through all of the "Allure Queen" monsters being easily summoned by "Mystic Tomato", and "Allure Queen LV5" being a valid choice for "Chaos-End Master" to work with. Additionally with the release of the Xyz Monster cards, they can be useful support for Rank 3, 5 and 7 choices.

The Ojama archetype can provide easy material for your Allure Queens to steal while also locking out some of your opponent's monster zones.

Finally, Decks using "Sorcerer of Dark Magic" can implement "Allure Queen LV7" to improve the chances of Special Summoning that mighty monster through its two Level 6 or higher Spellcaster type monster requirement (combined with "Gagaga Magician" and "Mystic Tomato" within the Deck).
