This tournament decided two invites to the Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship 2023: Firstly, there was the World Qualifying Points Playoff which decided the first one. In this, the players who had earned the highest amount of "World Qualifying Points" in the 2019-2020 and 2022-2023 seasons got to play in an exclusive mini-tournament with 32 participants. This was won by Mateo Renteria from Peru, who played an "Adventurer Spright" deck and defeated Jonathan Rivas from Ecuador in the finals, who was using "Tenyi Swordsoul". The semifinalists were Paulo Goncalves from Brazil and Andree Chavez from Peru.

After that, there was the main event which decided who would get the second invite, which was was won by Santiago Marin from Colombia, playing "Kashtira". In the finals, he defeated Andree Chavez Curioso from Peru, playing "Floowandereeze", who had already made it to the semifinals of the Playoff earlier. The Top 4 contenders, Pablo Dominguez and Marco Lopez were both from Colombia and used "Kashtira" decks.
