This tournament decided the first two invites to the Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship 2023: Firstly, there was the World Qualifying Points Playoff which decided the first one. In this, the players who had earned the highest amount of "World Qualifying Points" in the 2019-2020 and 2022-2023 seasons got to play in an exclusive mini-tournament with 25 participants. This was won by Roberto Lopez, who played a "Labrynth" deck and defeated Carlo Carrillo in the finals, who was using "Kashtira". The semifinalists were Christian Villalpando and Alfredo Sierra. All four players were from Mexico.

After that, there was the main event which decided who would get the second invite, which was was won by Carlos Mercado from Mexico, who used a "Runick Live☆Twin Spright" deck. In the finals, he defeated Angel Ovalle from Panama, playing "Purrely". The Top 4 contenders, Aldo Montalvan from Mexico and Kevin Martinez from Costa Rica, both used "Kashtira" decks.
