I’m being dead honest here, I just got the some 25th anniversary packs from a GameStop and this is literally the first card I pull; my heart skipped a beat.
"All mighty protector of the sun and sky. I beg of thee, please heed my cry. Transform thyself from orb of light and bring me victory in this fight. I beseech thee, grace our humble game but first I shall call out thy name: Winged Dragon Of Ra."

I play a Virtual World deck and I was playing against someone with a Blue-Eyes deck in Master Duel. They had Blue-Eyes Tyrant Dragon and I had Virtual World Shell - Jaja, and had used its effect to grant it battle immunity. Despite this, the Blue-Eyes player attacked and that’s when something odd happened: Jaja was able to banish it (as its effect lets it banish any monster it battles). The part that confuses me about this is that Blue-Eyes Tyrant Dragon is “unaffected by Trap Cards or effects,” so how was Jaja able to banish it? Shouldn’t Blue-Eyes Tyrant Dragon have been unaffected?
I was just talking about the design of the monsters when mentioning the other archetypes, this archetype most likely won’t play like them if that’s what you’re referring to.
I do agree though and in terms of card effects, there’s definitely more room to improve. I’m having trouble deciding on how the archetype should play, and a lot of it too.
So, I had an idea for an archetype, but I have no idea how to do it. The archetype draws inspiration from Fur Hire, Artifact, and Phantom Beast for the actual monsters, but the effects are something I'm confused on, as I want this to be an archetype of Illusion monsters. This archetype is called Battlegend (戦魔), derived from "legendary (creature)" and "battle," and would ideally be an aggro deck focused on not only swarming to bring out boss monsters and restrict the opponent, but, I also wanted to take advantage of Illusion monsters being able to battle without monsters being destroyed by having them be able to attack in defense mode, and/or, pressure the opponent into playing certain cards, then punish them for playing said cards, and they'd also have a field spell to help with this. Also, since this is inspired by Fur Hire, Artifact, and Phantom Beast, each of would be anthropomorphic mythical creatures based on various weapons, with the boss monsters being based on legendary weapons. The monsters would serve as familiars, and both wield the weapon and are the weapon, sorta like how Pyra and Mythra in Xenoblade Chronicles both wield and are the Aegis.
I literally just had the idea for the archetype now so I don't have much more detail to give, but I'd be greatly appreciative for any and all help you can give. Thank you!
Oh, ok. Thanks for telling me.
Will the two be releasing in the English TCG or no? I want to order them and use them, as well as get them before Halloween ends, but I can’t really use them with the Japanese text.

Let me know what you think of these cards how I can balance them more. Also, I plan on making a Level 9 main deck Virtual World card, and a fourth Virtual World Gate Continuous Spell, so if you have any suggestions for those, I'd be greatly appreciative. Thank you so much!
Ok, thank you!
Sorry. I’m not really used to making custom cards and I don’t own any of the Virtual World cards, I just really like the archetype’s design and wanted to make my own card for it. How should I rewrite it? Again, I’m really sorry.
No, not really. I mainly looked at an overview of the cards; the only one I’ve really looked at is Shenshen.
Can you help me with balancing this card and fixing some stuff with it? Also, if someone can draw the card art for it, that would be extremely appreciated. For reference, this card is based on the yatagarasu, known in China as jinwu, hence the name.
What should the ideal card ratio be?
I made this deck for the Virtual World archetype because I’m thinking about playing them, and I want to know if this is a good deck for them, as well as what can be improved. Thank you for your help! :)
Hi! For awhile now, I've been struggling to make an archetype and now that I've finally got some stuff together, I need some help with it. This archetype is going to be called the Wilderness (荒野) archetype, and mainly consist of EARTH Beast Monsters with the goal of restricting the opponent's options through Field and card control during Main Phase 1, taking advantage of the opponent's restricted options to attack, then setting the Field to prevent a counter during Main Phase 2. The Monsters in this archetype are all based on the animals The Wild Animals I Have Known. One of the things I’m considering though, is expanding it to include The Jungle Book (and Rikki-Tikki-Tavi by extension), Bambi: a Life in the Woods, Watership Down, and other stories. If you have any suggestions at all, please let me know, I’m extremely great full for any suggestions.
So, I’ve had an idea to revisit an archetype I was working on and expand the concept to include more forest stuff so now it’s called the Forest Shadow (森蔭) archetype. This archetype is based on the Galactica Archetype used by archetype used by Yudias Velgear and focuses on beating the opponent down with increased attack while removing their options, but doesn’t have as much emphasis on Normal Monsters. I’m also working on a character who uses this archetype named Shizuka Uwematsu (植松 静). If you have some suggestions for the archetype, I would love to hear them! Also, below is Shizuka’s Ace monster which I need help balancing out and adapting for Rush Duel; the Requirements for the [L] and [R] components are blank since I haven’t come up with them yet.
Lobo, King of the Forest Shadows
森蔭の王様、 狼王 (ロボ)
Attribute: Dark
Type: Beast-Warrior, Maximum, Effect
Level: 12
Maximum Attack: 5000
ATK: 1800
DEF: 0
You can Maximum Summon this card together with “Lobo, King of the Forest Shadows [L]” and “Lobo, King of the Forest Shadows [R].”
Requirements: Maximum Mode
Effect: When a card is removed from play by the effect of either “Lobo, King of the Forest Shadows [L]” or “Lobo, King of the Forest Shadows [R],” the Maximum Attack of this monster increases by 500.
Lobo, King of the Forest Shadows [L]
森蔭の王様、 狼王 (ロボ) [L]
Attribute: Dark
Type: Beast-Warrior, Maximum, Effect
ATK: 1600
DEF: 0
Requirement:
Effect: When the opponent either summons a Monster whose Level is equal to or less than 5, or activates a Spell Card, you may negate the activation or summoning of that card and banish it.
Lobo, King of the Forest Shadows [R]
森蔭の王様、 狼王 (ロボ) [R]
Attribute: Dark
Type: Beast-Warrior, Maximum, Effect
ATK: 1600
DEF: 0
Requirement:
Effect: When the opponent either summons a Monster whose Level is equal to or more than 6, or activates a Trap Card, you may negate the activation or summoning of that card and banish it.
So, for awhile now, I’ve wanted to make an archetype and now I’ve started coming up with monsters for this archetype which I call the Quiet Night (静夜) archetype. They’re pretty much monsters or creatures associated with night and nature, and the boss monster is based on Lobo, the King of Currumpaw. I need help coming up with a unique archetypal gimmick. Please let me know what suggestions you have!
Can someone help me decide what archetype I should play? I typically play Blackwings because I like swarming and then using the boss monsters to go all out, but Blackwings aren’t that good anymore and I want to try playing another archetype. Some other archetypes I’m inserted in are Tenpai Dragon/Sangen, Fur Hire, Raidraptor, Ogdoad, and Rokket. Should I play one of these or something different? I also like Pendulum Summoning so maybe Speedroid? I should also mention that I like playing decks solely with the archetype, so if I did a Blackwing deck for example, I would only do cards relating to Blackwings. I’m fine with incorporating other cards, but this is just a preference.
