I don’t know if this question has been asked in here before but I was watching Yugioh videos on YouTube when a thought came to me. What are some good archetypes that would be useful with a 60 card deck?

I honestly don’t want to sound rude or anything when I say this but could you guys give at least 2 good reasons why you want Synchro, Xyz, Pendulum, and Link Monsters in Go Rush? We finally got Ritual Summoning in the game and you guys are saying that you want Synchro, Xyz, Pendulum, and Link monsters instead. I’m gonna be honest and say that I’m getting a little fed up with this.
Thx Yami.
(Yep.)
Kenzaki: Besides, Raiden is actually asexual.
(I can do my best. Also, could you please post deck profiles for them?)
Yusaku: I believe that I will be dueling against Jaden and Yuya in order to help them out with Link Summoning.
(Also Yami, could you please have Asuka at least try to control her anger issues? It’s honestly starting to get annoying. Lastly, what decks do you want Crim and Tomae to use?)
(Picture Venti’s duel disk blade is half of a harp.)
Kenzaki: Alright. Next up will be Asuka vs Venti.
Asuka: I’ll mop the floor with you.
Venti: Might want to watch that tongue of yours Asuka. It just might come back to bite you.
Kenzaki: Alright then. Now begin!
Asuka and Venti: Let’s duel!
(Both duelists begin with 8000 life points.)
Venti: I’ll go first if you’re okay with it. I’ll start by activating my field spell Dragon Ravine!
(The whole field around them turns into a giant ravine.)
Venti: Then I’ll use its ability to discard Dragunity Phalanx from my hand so that I can add another Dragunity to my hand. And I think I’ll add Dragunity Dux. Which I’ll immediately summon.
(Dragunity Dux appears)
Venti: Due to his ability, I can now equip Phalanx from my graveyard to Dux. And since Phalanx is equipped to Dux, I can summon him immediately.
(Dragunity Phalanx appears)
Venti: Now I’ll have Phalanx tune with Dux. I Synchro Summon! Dragunity Knight - Vajrayana!
(Dragunity Knight - Vajrayana appears)
Venti: And just like Dux, Vajrayana’s ability lets me equip Phalanx to him from my graveyard. But he won’t stay like that for long because I can now summon him.
(Dragunity Phalanx appears)
Venti: Now I’ll have Phalanx tune with Vajrayana. Watch as the hopes of the world coalesce into a single star! I Synchro Summon! Take flight Stardust Dragon!
(Stardust Dragon appears)
Venti: Then I’ll end my turn with a face down. You’re up.
Asuka: I draw!
(Asuka draws)
Venti: Now I play my trap card Assault Mode Activate! This card evolves Stardust Dragon into Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode.
(Stardust Dragon evolves into Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode)
Asuka: Would you mind not interrupting me? Anyway, I activate Emblema Oath. This will let me place a Centur-Ion monster from my deck in my spell & trap zone as a face-up continuous trap.
Venti: Sorry. I chain with Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode’s ability. By sacrificing it, I can negate your spell and destroy it.
Asuka: Grr. In that case, I’ll bring out Summoner Monk.
(Summoner Monk appears)
Asuka: Then I’ll use its special ability. Now by discarding a spell from my hand, I can summon a Level 4 monster from my deck.
Venti: Not if I discard Effect Veiler to negate that effect.
Asuka: Argh! Would you stop disrupting my plays!?
Kenzaki: Asuka, it’s a part of the game.
Asuka: Shut up! You’re not a part of this battle.
Kenzaki: Alright. ‘Sheesh. She sure has some anger issues to work on.’
Venti: So…anything else?
Asuka: Unfortunately not. I end my turn.
Venti: And during the end phase, my Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode returns to my field.
(Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode returns)
Venti: Now I draw!
(Venti draws)
Venti: Not bad. I activate Cards of Consonance. By discarding Dragunity Couse from my hand, I’m allowed to draw 2 cards.
(Venti draws another Dragunity Dux and Dragunity Glow.)
Venti: Now I’ll summon another Dragunity Dux.
(Dragunity Dux appears)
Venti: And just like last time, Dux’s ability lets me attach Couse from my graveyard to him. And much like Phalanx, Couse’s ability lets me summon him to my field since he’s equipped to Dux.
(Dragunity Couse appears)
Venti: And when I use Couse to Synchro Summon, he can be treated as a Level 4 monster. So I’ll have him tune with Dux. I Synchro Summon! Level 8 Dragunity Knight - Barcha!
(Dragunity Knight - Barcha appears)
Venti: And due to this guy’s ability, I can equip him with Phalanx from my graveyard. And, well, you know about Phalanx’s ability.
(Dragunity Phalanx appears)
Venti: But now I’ll have him tune with Barcha! I Synchro Summon! Level 10 Dragunity Knight - Areadbhair!
(Dragunity Knight - Areadbhair appears)
Venti: Now I’ll play Dragunity Glow to add Dragunity Arma Gram to my hand from my deck. Then by banishing my 2 Duxes, I can summon Arma Gram automatically.
(Dragunity Arma Gram appears.)
Venti: Looks like I got a good field. Now it’s time for some battle. Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode’s ability attacks Summoner Monk. Assault Sonic Flare!
Asuka: But since it was in defense mode I take no damage.
Venti: But that means my other dragons can attack you directly. Twin Anemo Stream!
(After both attacks, Asuka is left with 1800 life points.)
Venti: Well, looks like you had enough. I’ll end my turn.
Asuka: Grr. I draw!
(Asuka draws)
Asuka: I summon Centur-Ion Primera.
(Centur-Ion Primera appears)
Asuka: Due to her ability, I can add a Centur-Ion card from my deck to my hand. And I choose Centur-Ion Gargoyle II. Now by sending Primera to my graveyard, I can automatically summon Gargoyle in defense mode.
(Centur-Ion Gargoyle II appears)
Asuka: Now I play Monster Reborn to bring Primera back!
(Centur-Ion Primera returns)
Asuka: Now I’ll have her give Gargoyle a tune up. I Synchro Summon! Centur-Ion Auxila!
(Centur-Ion Auxila appears)
Asuka: Now since Auxila was summoned, I get to add a Centur-Ion card from my deck to my hand.
Venti: Sorry. I activate Areadbhair’s ability. By banishing Couse from my graveyard, Auxila’s effect is not only negated but Auxila is banished!
Asuka: Oh no you don’t! I chain with Forbidden Chalice! This gives your dragon 400 extra points but negates his abilities.
Venti: You fell for it.
Asuka: Huh? Wait! You haven’t used your Stardust’s ability yet.
Venti: That’s right. So now by sacrificing him, your spell is negated and destroyed.
Asuka: No!
Venti: Oh yes. And now that Areadbhair’s effect isn’t negated, it now resolves banishing your Auxila.
Asuka: Grr! That’s unfair!
Venti: It’s completely fair, Asuka. You were too impulsive and impatient. You used every resource you had just to get the upper hand. In doing so you ended up losing all that you worked hard for. If you continue to do this then you’ll never be able to attain victory.
Asuka: Grr. I end my turn by setting this card facedown.
Venti: And during your end phase, my dragon returns.
(Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode returns)
Venti: Now it’s my turn. I draw!
(Venti draws)
Venti: I activate Advance Draw! By sacrificing Arma Gram I can draw 2 cards. Not bad. I play Dimension Fusion. By paying 2000 life points, the both of us can now summon any number of us can summon every monster that have been removed from the game. So I’ll bring back my 2 Duxes and Couse!
(Venti’s life points fall to 6000. Afterwards, both Dragunity Duxes and Dragunity Couse return.)
Asuka: That was stupid. I’ll bring Auxila back!
(Centur-Ion Auxila returns)
Venti: It wasn’t stupid. Besides, I still have some powerhouses in my deck. And I think it’s time to show you my favorite. I tune Couse with Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode. Watch as the winds and the stars unite to form a new entity! I Synchro Summon! Level 12 Dragunity Guardian Dvalin!
(A massive teal dragon with 4 dark blue wings with 4000 attack points appears.)
Asuka: So what? I’m not afraid of some overgrown lizard.
Venti: Might want to watch what you say, Asuka. When Dvalin is successfully Synchro Summoned, it immediately destroys all spells and traps on the field. And don’t even think about activating your face down card, Dvalin’s ability prevents you from activating it.
(Dragon Ravine and Centur-Ion Phalanx are destroyed.)
Venti: There’s more. Now you take 1000 points of damage for each card destroyed.
Asuka: WHAT!?
(Asuka’s life points fall to 0)
Venti: *Phew* That was a tough duel.
Kenzaki: Uh, I agree with Yusaku.
Venti: I’ll take her on.
(I decided to have Yusaku duel Jaden and Yuya as a way to help them with Link Summoning.)
(You’re good. I’ve actually been working on Asuka vs Venti.)
How do you think the game would change if Ritual Monsters were in the Extra Deck?
Honestly guys, I personally don’t want Synchro, Xyz, Pendulum, or Link Summons in Go Rush or Rush Duels.
Personally, I think Ritual Summoning is very underrated. Give it more love.
Lightray Sorcerer and Chaos Sorcerer
Raiden Shogun: *Manifests her Polearm weapon* Stand down human!
(Also, apologies for asking, but could you please try to make Zandaku control himself?)
Kenzaki: Sorry Zandaku, she has no emotion. Also, she’s older than you by like 3000 years. Lastly, she uses Mayakashi because they represent the friends she has and her past friends who have passed away.
(Picture Raiden’s duel disk blade is the blade of a spear.)
Raiden Shogun: Prepare for battle!
Varis: I will show no mercy!
Kenzaki: Alright then. Begin!
Varis and Raiden Shogun: Let’s duel!
*Both duelists begin with 8000 life points.*
Varis: I’ll allow you to take the first turn as I am somewhat of a gentleman.
Raiden Shogun: I appreciate that. I’ll begin with Mayakashi Return. This card allows me to search my deck for another Mayakashi card from my deck and either add it to my hand or send it to my graveyard. I’ll decide to add Hajun, the Winged Mayakashi to my hand. Then I’ll summon Hajun.
*Hajun, the Winged Mayakashi appears*
Raiden Shogun: Thanks to his ability, I can now special summon another Mayakashi monster from my deck. So I’ll summon Dakki, the Graceful Mayakashi.
*Dakki, the Graceful Mayakashi appears*
Raiden Shogun: If you were impressed with Sirinus’s Extra Link, allow me to show you the Synchro Ladder! I tune level 2 Dakki with level 1 Hajun. I Synchro Summon! Level 3 Oboro-Guruma, the Wheeled Mayakashi!
*Oboro-Guruma, the Wheeled Mayakashi appears*
Raiden: Since a Mayakashi monster was summoned to my field, Dakki returns to my field.
*Dakki, the Graceful Mayakashi returns*
Raiden Shogun: Now I’ll tune her with level 3 Oboro-Guruma! I Synchro Summon! Level 5 Tsuchigumo, the Poisonous Mayakashi!
*Tsuchigumo, the Poisonous Mayakashi appears*
Raiden Shogun: And with Tsuchigumo’s arrival, Dakki returns once again!
*Dakki, the Graceful Mayakashi returns*
Raiden Shogun: Now I’ll have her give Tsuchigumo a tuneup! I Synchro Summon! Level 7 Tengu, the Winged Mayakashi!
*Tengu, the Winged Mayakashi appears*
Raiden Shogun: Now rise again Dakki!
*Dakki, the Graceful Mayakashi returns*
Raiden: Now I’ll have Dakki tune with Tengu! I Synchro Summon! Level 9 Yoko, the Graceful Mayakashi!
*Yoko, the Graceful Mayakashi appears*
Raiden Shogun: And once again I call forth her human counterpart Dakki!
*Dakki, the Graceful Mayakashi returns*
Raiden Shogun: Now I’ll have her tune with Yoko! Bear witness to the most powerful of all the Mayakashis! I Synchro Summon for a final time! Level 11 Gashadokuro, the Skeletal Mayakashi!
*Gashadokuro, the Skeletal Mayakashi appears*
Raiden Shogun: Now I summon Dakki for a final time!
*Dakki, the Graceful Mayakashi returns*
Gore: Is she going to go for another Synchro Summon?
Playmaker: I don’t think that’s her game plan.
Raiden Shogun: You’re correct Playmaker. I now manifest my circuit! I’m required to use 2 “Mayakashi” monsters. So I set Gashadokuro and Dakki in the link arrows. I Link Summon! Link-2 Yuki-Onna, the Ice Mayakashi!
*Yuki-Onna, the Ice Mayakashi appears*
Raiden Shogun: Now just like before, Dakki returns once again!
*Dakki, the Graceful Mayakashi returns*
Raiden Shogun: Then I’ll manifest my circuit again! This time I’ll require at least 2 Zombie monsters. So I set Dakki and Yuki-Onna in the link arrows. I Link Summon! Link-3 Yuki-Onna, the Icicle Mayakashi!
*Yuki-Onna, the Icicle Mayakashi appears*
Raiden Shogun: Now I’ll bring Dakki back for a final time!
*Dakki, the Graceful Mayakashi returns*
Raiden Shogun: And just as I’ve brought Dakki back, I’ll manifest my circuit for a final time! In order to Link Summon, I’ll once again require at least 2 Zombies. So I set Yuki-Onna and Dakki in the link arrows. I Link Summon! Link-4 Yuki-Onna, the Absolute Zero Mayakashi!
*Yuki-Onna, the Absolute Zero Mayakashi*
Raiden Shogun: I’ll set 2 cards face down and end my turn.
Varis: Well, I’m fairly impressed with your first turn. But allow me to show you my very best. It’s my turn. I draw!
*Varis draws*
Varis: Not bad. I’ll play Dragon Shrine. This will let me send a dragon from my deck to my graveyard. So I think I’ll send Absorouter Dragon to my graveyard. And by doing so, Absorouter Dragon lets me add a Rokket from my deck to my hand. And I think I’ll add Silverrokket Dragon. Then I’ll activate Quick Launch! This lets me summon a Rokket from my deck. So I’m bringing out Magnarokket Dragon!
*Magnarokket Dragon appears*
Varis: Now I’ll use it to manifest my circuit! The summoning requirement is 1 level 4 or lower DARK Dragon. So I set Magnarokket Dragon in the link arrows. I Link Summon! Link-1 Striker Dragon!
*Striker Dragon appears*
Varis: Striker Dragon’s ability activates! When this dragon is Link Summoned, I get to add Boot Sector Launch from my deck to my hand. Then I activate Boot Sector Launch! This card now lets me summon 2 Rokkets from my hand in defense mode. So come on out, Shellrokket Dragon and Metalrokket Dragon!
*Both Rokket Dragons appear*
Varis: Next, since you have a Link Monster in play, I can summon Gateway Dragon from my hand.
*Gateway Dragon appears*
Varis: Then with its ability, I can now summon a DARK Dragon from my hand as long as it’s level 4 or below. So come on out Silverrokket
Dragon!
*Silverrokket Dragon appears*
Varis: Then I’ll manifest my circuit once again. In order to Link Summon, I require at least 3 Effect monsters. So I set Striker Dragon, Metalrokket, Shellrokket, and Gateway Dragon in the link arrows. I Link Summon! Rise up! Link-4 Borreload Dragon!
*Borreload Dragon appears*
Varis: Borreload Dragon’s ability activates! Your Yuki-Onna loses 500 attack points, and you can’t do anything in response.
Raiden Shogun: Grr.
Varis: Battle! Borreload Dragon attacks Yuki-Onna, the Absolute Zero Mayakashi! But in fact, rather than destroying it, why don’t I just take it?
*Yuki-Onna then moves over to Varis’s field*
Raiden Shogun: How clever.
Varis: Now what better way to deal you damage than to do it with your own monster. Yuki-Onna, the Absolute Zero Mayakashi attack your master directly!
Raiden Shogun: I shall not let that happen. Reveal trap card Call of the Haunted! I’ll use it to bring Gashadokuro back to my field!
*Gashadokuro, the Skeletal Mayakashi returns*
Varis: Grr. My other monsters aren’t enough to defeat that monster. I place a card face down and end my turn.
Raiden Shogun: I draw!
*Raiden Shogun draws*
Raiden Shogun: Perfect. I activate my spell card Undead Renewal. By tributing a Zombie on my field, I can summon a Zombie from my graveyard. So I bid farewell to Gashadokuro. But he won’t be there for long as I’ll now bring him back.
*Gashadokuro, the Skeletal Mayakashi leaves the field before returning*
Gore: Well that was a waste of a card. She just tributed it just to bring it back. What was the point of it?
Kenzaki: It’s because of Gashadokuro’s ability.
Raiden Shogun: Sirinus is correct. Because Gashadokuro was special summoned from my graveyard, it’s unaffected by other card effects until the end of my turn.
Varis: Not bad.
Raiden Shogun: Battle! Gashadokuro, attack Borreload Dragon!
*Varis’s life points fall to 7700*
Raiden Shogun: Now I’ll play my second face down card Mayakashi Temptation. Since a Mayakashi destroyed a monster you control, I get to summon it to my field.
Varis: What?
*Borreload Dragon returns*
Raiden Shogun: Now I’ll have Borreload Dragon attack Yuki-Onna. And by doing so, Borreload Dragon’s ability lets me regain control of Yuki-Onna!
*Yuki-Onna, the Absolute Zero Mayakashi returns to Raiden Shogun’s field*
Raiden Shogun: Now I’ll have her attack your Silverrokket Dragon!
*Varis’s life points fall to 7000*
Raiden Shogun: Well, seems as though you’ve had enough.
Varis: Hardly. But since you destroyed my Silverrokket in battle, its ability lets me summon Anethsrokket Dragon from my deck.
*Anethsrokket Dragon appears*
Raiden Shogun: I end my turn.
Varis: I draw!
*Varis draws*
Varis: Now I gotta admit, stealing my Borreload Dragon from me was fairly interesting. But at the same time it was a grave mistake. I activate Squib Draw! By destroying Anethsrokket Dragon, I can now draw 2 cards.
*Varis draws twice*
Varis: Then with my field spell Boot Sector Launch’s effect, since you have more monsters than I do, I can bring back Rokket monsters from my graveyard up to the difference in monsters on our fields. So come on back Magnarokket Dragon, Silverrokket Dragon, and Metalrokket Dragon!
*All 3 Rokkets appear*
Varis: Now since a DARK Dragon was summoned to my field, I can automatically summon out Noctovision Dragon from my hand!
*Noctovision Dragon appears*
Varis: Then I play the spell Monster Reborn to bring Absorouter Dragon back from my graveyard!
*Absorouter Dragon returns*
Varis: Now I have everything I need to manifest my circuit! In order to Link Summon, I require at least 3 effect monsters. So I set Magnarokket Dragon, Metalrokket Dragon, Silverokket Dragon, Absorouter Dragon, and Noctovision Dragon in the link arrows in order to call the most powerful creature in my entire armory. I Link Summon! Rise up! Link-5 Borrelend Dragon!
*Borrelend Dragon appears*
Varis: Since Absorouter Dragon was sent to my graveyard, I can add Rokket Tracer to my hand. And Noctovision Dragon’s ability lets me draw a card since I used it to Link Summon.
*Varis draws*
Gore: Now that’s a menacing monster.
Varis: It doesn’t just look menacing. It IS menacing! Especially since this dragon cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects. Not only that, neither of us can target it with card effects and it can all monsters you control. Which I think I’ll do. Borrelend Dragon, destroy Yuki-Onna!
*Raiden Shogun’s life points fall to 7900*
Varis: Now attack Gashadokuro!
*Raiden Shogun’s life points fall to 7700*
Varis: Now attack Borreload Dragon!
*Raiden Shogun’s life points fall to 7200*
Raiden Shogun: But since a Link Monster was destroyed, I’ll banish Hajun from my graveyard to bring Gashadokuro back!
*Gashadokuro, the Skeletal Mayakashi returns*
Varis: How fitting. Borrelend Dragon, attack Gashadokuro again!
*Raiden Shogun’s life points fall to 7000*
Raiden Shogun: But since Gashadokuro was destroyed, I’ll banish him from my graveyard to bring Yoko back in defense mode!
*Yoko, the Graceful Mayakashi returns*
Varis: Not gonna happen. I reveal my trap card Final Attack Orders! This card now changes all face up monsters on the field to attack mode!
Raiden Shogun: What!?
Varis: Now then, Borrelend Dragon attacks Yoko!
*Raiden Shogun’s life points fall to 6400*
Raiden Shogun: Then I’ll remove Yoko to bring Tengu back!
*Tengu, the Winged Mayakashi returns*
Raiden Shogun: Due to his summoning, your trap is automatically destroyed!
Varis: Not really. Borrelend Dragon’s ability negates your Tengu and brings Silverokket Dragon back!
*Silverokket Dragon returns*
Varis: Now Borrelend Dragon attacks your Tengu!
*Raiden Shogun’s life points fall to 5500*
Raiden Shogun: Rgh. I’ll now banish Tengu to bring Tsuchigumo back!
*Tsuchigumo, the Poisonous Mayakashi returns*
Raiden Shogun: Due to his ability, the both of us must now send the top 3 cards of our decks to the graveyard.
Varis: Borrelend Dragon attacks!
*Raiden Shogun’s life points fall to 4000*
Raiden Shogun: Now I’ll banish Tsuchigumo to bring Oboro-Guruma back!
*Oboro-Guruma, the Wheeled Mayakashi returns*
Raiden Shogun: And thanks to his ability, my monsters cannot be destroyed in battle this turn!
Varis: That won’t save you from the damage you’ll be taking!
*After both the attacks end, Raiden Shogun’s life points fall to 0*
Varis: Well, guess I’m the victor in this battle.
Raiden Shogun: It would appear so. *Manifests a golden amulet with a purple crystal at the center* For your reward, please accept this vision. It should help you with the Fatui Battle Field.
Varis: I promise to use it wisely.
Kenzaki: I’d feel bad for any guy she dates.
Kenzaki: Uh, Asuka…Venti’s a guy.
Kenzaki: Better yet. Venti, would you be okay with dueling Asuka instead?
Venti: I’m good as long as I get to have a good time.
Kenzaki: Alright.
