It's like comparing apples to oranges. One is a massive tragedy involving the deaths of millions and massive impact on the area for decades, while the other was the slow and methodical torture of children for exploitative purposes in creating true artificial intelligence.
Ib being gone in the TCG completely removes the chance of it being even possibly splashed in other things.
Apparently the way it's worded does only allow it to be used on something on the field, so it's meh.
Technically we've only established how it is potentially junk. Due to differences in the way that Japan words certain things and this being purely a direct translation of what is written we don't have exact confirmation on what it can negate.
Force Resonator, Deep Sea Diva, Tatsunoko, and Ib are all easy to use WATER Tuners that are extremely splashable or already fit upcoming strategies.
The issue of WATER monster in the GY is simple due to the abundance of WATER Tuners, but as I missed the part where the current translation says Effect it can potentially drop the usefulness as said. We'll have to see if the official rulings specify if it only hits things already on the field or if that's how the OCG writes an Effect that hits both.
Am I the only one who thinks that Rise-Dragite is potentially going to be quite problematic because of the ease of splashing it into ANYTHING and getting the free negation?
Considering the fact that it says "Chaos Phantom" and not Armityle by name it definitely looks like it will be getting a new version.
That and he's literally just pointing out his own mistakes and how easily they are remedied. Which makes it look like he intentionally doesn't do it.
Yeah, about the only thing that you have to do is remember to switch anything in quotations to the new applicable name.
Pit is a stickler for correct PSCT, especially if the card has effects that can basically just be copy/pasted off of something else.
Beyond that, it seems every custom the create is either uselessly underpowered or unfairly overpowered. It was one thing with the first couple, but at this point it makes it look like they are willfully refusing to understand card balancing.
I'm aware of that. If you look at the date this was originally put up it was LONG before the revelation of what the changes were.
As long as it isn't Ninjas I'm good. Considering the fact that Ninjas got a bunch of support not too long ago and Magnum's unreleased ones are pretty terrible they've had enough. And I actually have a Ninja deck.
Often the Gizmeks go along (loosely) with something else in or supported by the set they are released in, or maybe it just seems that way to me. In this case look how its effects synch up with the effects and stats of the new Generaider cards.
I have to admit that Eschatos just got a bit more worrisome than it was as a solo card.
Though not the general focus of the Type as every build currently focuses on Link Spam, let's not forget that they do have some decent Main Deck beaters that this could be designed to support.
That was done to illustrate the difference in ideology of Ishizu, believing destiny is foretold and set, versus Kaiba, believing that he is the only thing that controls his destiny. So her not attacking directly was likely due to her playing out the Duel exactly as seen in her vision as it showed her winning, and Kaiba proving that destiny can be altered when he summons Blue-Eyes instead which was not in the vision.
I agree with Blaze on the depends based on his reasons and because there are plenty of decks that could make better use of this or fit it into their deck a lot easier than Prisma simply because it is a Spell and therefore doesn't eat a Monster slot in your build and doesn't risk any interference if the theme needs to be pure Attribute/Type/Archetype.
So basically a generic Spell version of Elemental HERO Prisma?
